This hands-on two day course provides an introduction to the techniques of non-linear media authoring on the Media 100 le,
-lx, -xe, -xs, and -xr. Participants will progress through the fundamentals of the Media 100 authoring process.
Included in the course will be the following:
- Navigating the Media 100 Interface
- Organizing and digitizing source material
- Selecting appropriate compression levels
- Media management
- Bin and timeline based editing of video and audio
- Using MotionFX, ColorFX, and Motion Path
- Working with transitions
Time will be divided between presentation, discussion and hands-on work with sample media. This course will enable participants
to become proficient Media 100 editors and will result in Media 100 Editor Level I Certification through the National Institute
for the Study of Digital Media.

Workshop prerequisites: A working knowledge of standard Macintosh menus and commands.
Each participant will be assigned use of a Media 100 xs for the entire workshop. Enrollment is limited.
