This hands-on two day course is for the more advanced Media 100 professional. During this workshop, the instructor will show
you how to use tools more efficiently and explain some shortcuts that will make your job easier. Third party applications
will be discussed and some demonstrated.
Included in the course will be the following:
- Batch Digitizing and Draft Mode Editing
- File Management
- Timeline Editing (Shortcuts)
- Advanced Transitions and Compositing
- Photoshop Technology
- Voice-overs and Audio Tracks
- Third Party Applications
Time will be divided between presentation, discussion and hands-on work with sample media. This course will enable participants
to become proficient Media 100 editors and will result in Media 100 Editor II Certification through the National Institute
for the Study of Digital Media.
Each participant will be assigned use of a Media 100 xs for the entire workshop. Enrollment is limited.
By the end of this workshop, you will be asked to cut a commercial that demonstrates the following:
- Chroma- or Lumakey effects
- Moving Titles
- Static Titles
- Special Effects created with Boris Effects
- Various Transitions
- Audio Tracks with Voiceovers and Music or Sound Effects
Only participants that demonstrate mastery of the skills presented in the workshop will be certified as Media 100 Editors.

Workshop prerequisites: Successful completion of the Media 100 Editor I Certification Workshop or ability to perform the following Media 100 skills; Create a project with bins and programs, save a project, digitize media,
sort clips in a bin, assemble a program, work with several types of transitions including dissolves, wipes, picture-in-picture
and page turn, import and export files, work with static titles in CG studio, and be able to master-to-tape.
